Ryan Griffin's Career Ends
with a Blindside Hit
Twenty-three year old Ryan Griffin's career is over, after a sickening hit from Panthers Horace Sparks which knocked Griffin out cold. After making his third reception of the supposed meaningless pre-season game, Horace Spikes blindsided the young tight end and ended his career with a severe concussion.
Spikes is a 5'10" 230lbs middle linebacker who only signed with the Panthers in the off-season. A six year veteran who has had a history of high and late contact through-out the years.
Griffin was entering his second year in Green Bay, drafted in the third round in 2020 out of UConn he recorded seven receptions for ninety-nine yards and two touchdowns. He was in a position to win the starting spot for the Packers this year, but now he recovers in hospital with his career over.
Packers fans were outraged when the officials decided against ejecting Spikes, he continued to play and recorded a sack and a interceptions which only added to the drama. A online petition has begun with the objective to get Horace Spikes punished by the RZL, the league is yet to release a statement on the issue but are expected to soon.
